Quite ill

So I'm out of the gym for a bit since I've come down with quite the painful cough and chest congestion. My voice is also nearly gone. What are some of your favorite natural remedies for bad colds?

I don't know natural remedy for congestion.

But my dad when I was younger would warm orange juice and have us drink it. Still get benefits of vitamin c and all that but soothing warmth. Haven't had it since I was a kid.

What about tea and honey? Night help sooth your throat and bring your voice back. Which BTW don't try to talk for a few days. My friend that's a voice coach said don't whisper as it's really bad for your voicebox. Paper and pen it for a few days. Or text, etc.

Vitamin c, rest, stay hydrated, drink warm stuff.

Congestion is serious and you may want to get some otc meds to clear that up.

    Hope you feel better op!

Bad idea. It's very selfish to expose everyone to your illness. If there are any immunosuppressed people there they could be admitted to the hospital because you just has to go to the gym.

    This!
Hot water with honey and lemon is very soothing.
A hot steamy shower can offer temporary relief from the congestion.
Supposedly Vick's vaporub on the soles of your feet is soothing and helps

Zinc is the only proven thing to shorten a cold. That and sleep and lots of fluids.

Two warm Patron Tequila shot w/ salt and a lime wedge and you'll be feeling fine in no time. You still have your cold but you won't mind as much.

Cough syrup with mucinex, plenty of fluids. Comfort food and Netflix. They make these eucalyptus bath things you throw in the shower and the stream helps open your airways. I love those things when I'm stuffed up. I had that same sickness last week. Feel better soon.

Sleep, sleep and more sleep. Warm liquids, and lots and lots of water. And Mucinex seems to control my symptoms pretty well.
