Post Pregnancy Issues / slow loser

Hi all, I had lost 10 kilos over the span of a year and was very happy with where I was at, even though it took so long compared to others. A few years later, and a few pregnancies later (only one pregnancy to term though) and I'm right back where I started!
My baby is now 10 months old and my most recent miscarriage was about 6 months ago. I've started logging food and working my butt off again, but feel really disheartened. I lost .4kg one week and then put on .2kg the next week. One day I feel and look fine, the next I'm that bloated in the tummy I hate how I look in all my clothes!
Is there anybody else out there who is a slow 'loser' or is it just me! How do others manage to power through so quickly? Advice, encouragement and support are all welcome, please!

It sounds like you're on the right track -- you have a 10-month-old and you're getting started! Weight loss isn't linear, unfortunately. And I'd say your hormone balance/cycle/system is possibly still out of whack if you were pregnant just six months ago. (
sorry to hear of your miscarriage
)
Weigh and log your food, stick within your calorie goal, and don't quit! Everyone seems to respond so differently to pregnancy/birth/loss of a pregnancy/nursing, that I think it's best to avoid comparisons. (Easier said than done, I know.)
Enjoy your sweet baby, and hang in there! If you stick with it, the weight will come off.0 -
Helloo!
I feel your pain! I'm feeling like I've become a 'slow loser'! When I've been on a healthy eating kick in the past, weight has dropped off me very quickly. However, after falling off plan I've put the weight back on and more.
I'm doing the same, if not better, than I was doing in the past eg going to the gym to do hard sessions at least 3 times a week, eating really well & not craving junk food. But I'm not sure what has changed this time!
I know that I am in it for the long run now, and its a lifestyle change, rather than a short term 'diet' like in the past, so I keep telling myself its better that it comes off slowly, rather than quickly and putting it back on again. Just a bit confused/disheartened why I'm not seeing quicker weight loss, especially as I'm heavier than before. The scales have been sitting at the same number for the past few weeks despite all my efforts, even just 1lb would be better than nothing!!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!0
