Looking for friends!!!

My name is Julie. I'm 18 and not where I want to be with my weight. My wedding is in a week and while I know I won't be where I want to be by then becuase I slacked off my fiance and I are looking to have a baby. We've tried for over a year now and no luck. I want to get healthy which could help me with getting pregnant and I want to be as healthy as I can be to carry a baby no matter what we have to do to get to the last point. I'm currently at about 230 and over the course of the next year I'd like to get back down to 140 where I was the healthiest I ever was. I've always been a bit chubby but when I was 140 and still in school I was always put down for my weight little did I know I looked and felt good compared to how I do now. I'm looking for any active friends and hope to find some men or women around my weight as well. :)

Hey! your story sounds a lot like mine with some slight differences. I'm 24 and got married last year. As far as trying to have a baby, that's where we meet. I weigh around 220 and hope to start trying for a baby in a year or so, but in order to do that, I need to get to a healthy weight. I lost around 40 pounds last time, but after wedding I kind of let that go. Now I'm back and I know HOW to lose the weight - I have my shakes, I have the programs, I know what to do, it's just a matter of doing it. I always welcome friends to help support and encourage though!!

You ladies are doing great! I don't know what made me click on this discussion but I'm happy to friend you and help keep you accountable :) I'm curious...what shakes are you using? I'm a HUGE shakeology fan...and actually I'm a Coach for beachbody and love the programs they have :)

That's awesome! I'm also a beachbody coach and drinking shakeology! Funny how that works, isn't it? :)

Hi Julie! There is tons of free help here on the forums and lots of great free information on free programs. Beware of people trying to sell you products you don't need.

Here are some great free resources right on this site: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10300331/most-helpful-posts-getting-started-must-reads#latest

    Good luck to you!
