JM 30 day shred HELP

Hey all. I'm on level 1, day 7 of 30 day shred. I do the workouts 4 days a week, 2 cardio days, and 1 rest day. When I first started I felt immensely sore, which I was happy about. I knew I was gaining muscle. Now though I don't feel anything. Does not being sore mean that I'm not building muscle?

    Are you eating at a surplus? If not, you're not gaining muscle mass. 30 DS is lots of cardio with some strength training. Not the best circumstances for gaining muscle mass. If you are eating at a deficit strength training is helping you retain the muscles you already have. That's a good thing.

    Look into a progressive weight lifting program (like Strong Lifts) if you want to gain muscle.

    The old adage no pain no gain is not true. You can gain without pain, but if you are in a deficit you probably won't gain much muscle (except for newbie gains).

    You could always move up to the next level sooner
