I think some of the guys here would marry Lyle if they could

Personally I think most people don't like what he has to say. They would rather believe in unicorns...

I don't think I've ever read anything from him that doesn't make (common) sense.

His style of delivery doesn't fit some (personally I like it and find him funny), but his information is always solid.

I like no nonsense, straight to the point advice.

Agreed. He's got a little attitude, which I find humorous, too, but he delivers the goods in terms of straight information. He can be kinda harsh on commenters.

I find him similar to NFL coach Bill Belichick. Ask him an intelligent, relevant question and he'll be glad to impart knowledge at length. Ask him a stupid question or start spouting derp and he'll either roll his eyes and give you a short, sarcastic answer, or burn you to the ground. :)

Hahahaa.... funny analogy and point well made! Seems he has been working on moderating his sass in comments, but the dude gets a lot of derpy questions, so I kinda don't blame him, but it's probably better for him to ignore than flame.
