I've been feeling very nauseous with stomach pain for the past 2 weeks since I added dairy back in.

For years, I would only eat it once in a while if I'm eating pizza or ice cream, but it was not something I would eat daily because it was easier to leave out to cut calories. Now, I am trying to build muscle and not focus on weight, so I decided to add it back in. I never had any issues eating it sporadically, so I never felt like I had an intolerance to dairy. But I have had this unexplained nausea and stomach pain the past 2 weeks and I'm wondering if it is the dairy. Does anybody else feel ok with dairy when eaten sporadically, but can't eat it daily?

It sounds like you are lactose intolerant, at least to a substantial degree.

You don't need dairy to build muscle...you need a solid program along with eating at least maintenance along with adequate protein and plenty of carbs.

I know I don't need dairy to build muscle, I just added it into my diet because I actually love the taste. But if it is the reason for my nausea and pain, then it isn't worth it. It's odd, even butter seems to be giving me slight nausea and it is supposed to have almost no lactose. But again, it wasn't something I ate everyday previously. Ugh, I've been loving eating butter daily and I hate the idea of giving that up too. :'(

It's a simple test to try lactose reduced dairy products or to take lactaid tablets every time you consume even smal amounts of dairy. If the pain goes, there's your culprit and an easy workaround (though lactose is added to more foods than you can imagine, so you need to obsessively label read)
