I'm back. I thought I was doing well, thought I had everything under control, and then I went through some major life changes. So I'm back. I've sat down and wrote out a couple of weeks worth of workouts in a journal I bought several years ago on a whim, I've found an app (Mealime) to try cooking some differenteals (I'm going to try a meatless meal once the next two weeks), and am just really ready to suck it up and work.

My focus is losing 25 pounds and doing some real toning up, preferably by mid-January/early February since it's around this time that I will get serious on looking for the dress. Of course this means I'll have to strongly buckle down over the holiday season. But I'm not going at this alone. My fiance has told me that he also wants to focus on losing some weight (though his focus will be more dietary) with him joining me on evening walks a few times a week.

Feel free to friend me, message me, anything. I'm definitely looking for partners to join up with and be accountable to.

    Welcome back :)
Life happens - weight fluctuates. The important thing is, you don't beat yourself up over the weight gain and just continue as you are - with a positive mindset. I too had a seriously hard year and gained some weight - it is what is is, we are human beings.

The fact that your fiance is on board with your weight-loss is fantastic. Together you can support eachother and support is so important throughout this 'journey'. I know you can do this. Good luck.

Thanks. :) It does happen, but on the positive side of those changes, I have a lot more time to focus on doing what I need to, not being as stressed out (or rather my stress levels are back to a manageable amount that don't cause me to lose sleep or be frequently sick), and such.

He would like to get back in shape since he used to participate in the MS150, but has never completed the second day. We have agreed that I'll do the MS150 with him if he does the Houston Half-Maraton with me in the future. ;)
