Hi I am new to this but not to weight loss. I tried WW after my first child and lost weight. I lost a lot after my second and then it came back slowly but surely. I lost a lot and it was probably more than I should have so when I started gaining I told myself a good amount of it needed to come back anyway because my clothes were falling off and people were concerned. So I let a healthy amount come back and then it kept coming. And coming and coming.
I am not overweight (yet) and I know if I continue just eating and drinking what I want I will be in a bad place. I know the body changes as we age and I need to take control and accountability for what I eat.
I tried WW again and it sucked. For me at least. The new program jacked up the points on everything besides the zero points for fruits and veggies but I cannot survive on those alone. I was left cranky and hungry and not losing any weight. 3 lbs. in 8 weeks. So I stopped.
I work out a lot. Everything from spinning to Group Power and I am not lazy. I can't be. I have kids!
I found myself in GNC the other day looking for some fix that would help me and help me at the gym. But I couldn't bring myself to buy anything. I don't want to put that stuff in my body when I need to shed 10-15 pounds. I have been down that diet pill road before and I am not going back.
I decided to do this myself and actually put forth effort. I like this site because by counting calories I am more free to choose where I spend them instead of "eating all my points and only having fruit for three hours".
Anyway thanks for listening. I feel better!

I agree with you on the WW thing - their new system seems hugely complicated and quite restricted (in my opinion)! The good thing is, you don't need any programme like that or any diet pill to lose weight. Be aware of your calories, keep up the activity levels and you'll have no problem. We'll all be here to support you0
