Confused by maintenance macros

I am happy with my weight of 128lbs and so am moving to maintenance with a view to slowly shifting a bit of body fat and building muscle.

My daily calorie allowance is 1700 which I am happy with, but I am confused by my macros.
They are currently
35% carbs
35% protien
30% fat

Does that sound about right or would you adjust slightly?

They really aren't all that important assuming you get enough protein (1gr per lb of lean mass) and enough fats (.4gr per lb of bodyweight). There is no need to shoot for specific percentages. in my opinion.

Thanks for that, looks like I am pretty much in target with those figures anyway. Good to know I am heading in the right direction, thanks

Do you want to keep the restriction of set percentages for the long term at maintenance?
Protein and fat as minimums is more flexible.

    Worth a read...
