I'm sorry

It looks like a post I put up this morning has been deleted - I'm assuming someone made a comment that wasn't in line with the rules.
I made that post in a moment of weakness - I was feeling sorry for myself and was feeling defeated.
I didn't get a chance to read all the comments but thank you for the words of encouragement - I'm sorry if the thread upset anyone (it was not my intention!).
I do tend to overthink things and in turn it stresses me out - I become somewhat obsessive.
I am going to slow down, come up with a concrete plan and not beat myself up when I fall of the wagon.
This journey is a tough one but I will keep pushing to get where I want to be.
I wish you all well and continued success on your own journey!
Peace
Leanne

Please don't feel like you should apologize. It was definitely not your fault. I hope you find some peace from what you feel at the moment. You're only human and as human beings we are all subject to frustration and sometimes we need to feel heard and understood. I hope you found that today or if not I hope you do find that with this new thread.0

Please don't apologize. I hope you were able to see the helpful responses before your thread was deleted. Sometimes we all need support/reassurance/a voice of reason. I hope your experience doesn't deter you from posting in the forums in the future.

Definitely not your fault. I hope you found some information you could use before it was deleted. That post closing had nothing to do with you at all. The same person has caused the closing of a few threads today unfortunately4

When they delete threads they don't think of the repercussions on posters who have put their heart and soul, or caring, thought or knowledge into their posts
Whether they are the OP or a respondent it doesn't matter, we all feel aggrieved when our words are evaporated
Try not to let it get to you, it won't stop, it won't change and it isn't personal...15 -
As someone who was in that thread before it closed, I can safely say that it was nothing you said or did that caused the debate and deletion. I hope that you got some of the answers you needed before it was removed. If not, I hope you'll consider starting a new thread or popping into some that have similar advice and hopefully we can help you out without all the drama that happened in your last thread. Needing help is nothing to be ashamed of!4

Echo.... it wasn't you at all. There was really good insight on the thread! Some of my favorites were:
- Find a couple go-to meals you really enjoy (enjoy being the key word) and vary those slightly so you don't have to wonder what to eat
- prep several meals ahead of time, e.g. lunch M-Th, so you figure out the logging once on Sunday and don't have to think about those meals again
- make sure your deficit is appropriate (not to aggressive, i.e. you're getting enough calories on average)
- experiment with your macros to minimize hunger (enough protein, fiber & fat helps lots of folks)
- It's ok to look forward to meals you know you will enjoy. Looking forward to a meal helps me say "no thank you" when offered an unplanned treat.
Good luck and glad you're feeling better about things! It becomes second nature, so stick with it!5 -
That wasn't your fault at all. I'm sorry that your original questions really didn't get addressed (or at least, they didn't at the point when I stopped reading the thread).
It can be difficult to step back and see the larger picture, but it's a valuable skill to learn. Individual food items aren't good or bad; they're only important in the context of your larger diet. It's also important to remember that weight loss takes time, so the important thing is to find a way of eating that allows you to stay in a deficit for the long term. (Essentially, if eating a cookie today means that you can face your deficit again tomorrow, it's a better choice than eating broccoli if that broccoli means you just can't take it one more day). Personally, I've found that the best solution for me is to save 100-200 calories per day for some kind of dessert at night. Having that flexibility to choose to eat something just because I like it keeps me balanced and keeps me from obsessing about every little thing. Good luck!6 -
Potential good news: mods sometimes move threads off the main forums in order to clean them up, I believe. After cleansing (one of the few times that term is appropriate) the thread, it may reappear.3

And if you did a trying wrong you would have been warned so you are in the clear0

Yeah, like TR0 says, it may turn back up after moderation. It wasn't you.
It was me.
Not really. I don't even remember if I posted in it.4 -

I posted in it and I was very nice.

Thanks everyone - I appreciate the kind words and encouragement6

A "Proudly Canadian" avatar and a thread entitled "I'm sorry". I can't help but be amused.24

Canadians. It's what we do.8

Completely off-topic and coming from someone who was an exchange student in Canada (and had a wonderful experience)... Your avatar coupled with the title of your thread and the fact that you didn't do anything wrong, just made me smile.9

Just out of curiosity, do rude Canadians get punished by forcing them to work at the Blue Water and Ambassador bridges? Asking for a friend.7

I do remember where we left off in that thread.
We could use some stats to help you further. Ht/wt/calorie goal. Do you do any exercise and if you do, do you eat those calories back. This would be helpful as it seems you were/are being overly restrictive.0 -

@71lmf you can write to a moderator and ask if your thread can be cleaned and returned.
Anyone know when @Alex is coming back?1 -

I've seen this also. Threads come back! OP I understand why you feel a sense of no closure. It is difficult to see a thread disappear suddenly and not know why.0 -

LOL - you guys are funny!snowflake954 wrote: »Now I'm sorry I missed your thread.
I missed most of it myself!
ETA: I'm not going to worry about having it cleansed and reposted - I was being silly - I'm feeling better today and just want to move forward
