When it only takes two days to gain back what you've worked a week to lose. Why can't I have better metabolism?!?!

If seeing constant ups-and-downs disheartens you, it might be best to cut back on how often you weigh in, or use a tracking app (Happy Scale, Libra, Trendweight) to view the overall trend.6 -
Chances are excellent that you'll lose this new weight quickly. Remember that for every gram of glycogen you store, you store 3g of water. So between water weight and, uh, extra fecal matter waiting to be expelled, you have less work to do than you might think.2

Did you eat 3500 calories x how many pounds you've gained back over maintenance? That's the only way you could have gained the weight back. Otherwise, it's normal fluctuations (water retention, salt).2

This is why I only weigh myself once a week or fortnight as I know weight fluctuates a lot.0 -
It is likely only to be food or water weight.1
