Ab workouts question

I have been upping my ab workouts here recently along with doing a lot of Zumba. In the past few day I have started experiencing breastbone soreness along with some rib soreness. Is this typical for this kind of workout?

    Is it muscle soreness or something that feels abnormal? If you're doing something you don't typically do, then being sore is normal.

    It feels like muscle to me. I've just been focusing on my abs a lot here lately between doing Zumba and other ab workouts and don't ever remember being quite that sore before.

    I've had rib soreness before from core work when I've switched my routine or increased the intensity. I've never done Zumba, but I've also had breastbone soreness from exercising. If you do a lot of moves in Zumba that involve moving your arms and chest it's probably from that.

    Rib soreness bothered me untill I lay on my back and tensed where it hurt and felt with my fingers, turns out it was just my muscle that I didn't realise I had!
