How do you log resistance band use?

Options
So under strength training, they ask for # of sets, but they also ask for the weight. I don't know what each resistant band is equivalent to in terms of weights. How would I log that in?

You can log in the cardiovascular section as 'strength training'.

Otherwise you could estimate the weight and enter it.

If you have several bands of different strength, I would name them 1, 2, 3, etc.in order of strength. Then use the corresponding number in place of the weight.

The numbers are wildly inaccurate anyway so you can log it as strength training just for your own records but don't take the numbers too seriously.

My only concern is the calories burned. I want that to be as accurate as possible.

Unfortunately it's pretty hard to be even slightly accurate. With aerobic exercise you can get a decent estimate with a heart rate monitor, but those are meant for strength training.

I would suggest that they be listed as straight aerobic exercise. I don't think the bands offer enough to really make much of a difference in caloric burn. Perhaps add a 10% burn on top and that should be close enough for logging purposes.
