All,
I've been a member of MFP for while but now taking it a little more seriously. Years ago I was on My Food Diary and found that very helpful for a few reasons. I was able to go from 205 to 175 in 6mos. I kept it off for about 8 years. I've been through a couple of career transition in the last two years and my diet and training have taken a back seat. I find myself a squishy suburban dad again and getting the "man boobs" jokes from my athletic kids. They remember me being pretty fit. I was hard into crossfit for a while but moved away from that. Trained on my own, then totally slacked off.
Fast forward to 2016, I've bought a business (I'm slammed) but making time to train at a local Crossfit affiliate and started Medifast to get a jump on my weight loss.
I'll try and contribute here on the forum as I think the support found in these threads is very helpful. When I was on MFD we had a small group of guys that stuck together and challenged each other.
So here are my particulars,
Male, 58yo, 195lbs, goal 175, live in the Chicago suburbs, married with two teenagers.
See you all around,
Jeff
