So I started a carb cycle diet to get my body fat just a tad bit lower to around 10%. Currently 16%. But my question is people who have done this before what is your method to keeping you carbs low? My current goal is 80 grams of carbs (half of my total body weight 160)but that quickly goes up for me as I like to eat fruit and veggies through out the day. I try to avoid any starchy carbs expect maybe a piece of Ezekiel bread at most.

I carb cycle. I do not eat fruit on those days. I mostly eat green veggies and lean protein on those days.

How has your progress been with the carb cycling? I'm only a week in. And do you do high and low? Or high, med, and low?

I did carb cycling for a few months. In the end, it made little sense for me as it all came out in the wash anyway. Personally, I didn't notice any more progress one way or the other... beyond dreading a lack of carbs on my off days.

As I remember, it was simply easing off the carbs at breakfast or lunch or halfing portions. In the end, it was more effort than ever needed as far as my progress was concerned. I went both high, medium and low and high/low over the course of 4-6 months.

I did carb cycling early this year.. It was more frustration than anything.. the carb counting was easy part.. just don't eat them unless it's in vegetables.. .. this was no fun at all..

It does not suit my training for one.. And besides being frustrated after two months, it made not one difference in how I got to my original goals.
