100lbs to go

I have been working at losing weight for a couple of years now. I've lost 50lbs but hit a plateau and am working hard to break it. Much tighter control of portions is making the difference. I have a very slow metabolism and have begun weight training about 13 weeks ago, 3x a week full body bodybuilding. I do a reverse pyramid for my sets. 8,8,10,10, 12. It's pretty solid workout and I am considering changing to splits. I swim laps about 30-60min and then do Hitt in the water with water weights 5-6 days a week. I gave up red meat and poultry a few weeks ago and I'm eating fish or all vegetarian meals. I also have three snacks and I'm now only taking snacks if I need one. I finally am seeing the scale go lower. Every pound is earned. My maintenance kcal for 299lbs. is 1900kcal. That's insane for a person my size. I have been seeing an obesity doctor who confirmed this. I have no thyroid gland but I take replacement but it's just not the same. I really have trouble dealing with this reality because it means I barely can eat when I get to my goal weight. But it's just the truth. All I can do is what I am doing each day and just let my metabolism do the rest. I know weight training is the best remedy along with swimming. I know I do best keeping track and being open and honest.

Good luck on your weight loss journey! I'm rooting for you. You can do it! Didn't take a day to gain it, and won't take a day to lose it. I'm also trying to lose 100 lbs. It's very very difficult, but I believe in myself.

I'm just starting. This is a big deal for me. I am just tired of being tired. I have been a type 1 diabetic for 28 years and just got out of a long relation ship. I am ready to do me. So with that being said good luck with all of your goals.
