After losing a little over 10 lbs and then sitting at the same weight and bouncing back and forth between a couple of pounds since I began my new health journey - along with reduction in calories, eating much more healthier and 3-4 days of exercise... I wondered what was going on. Like, why is my scale against me?

So today for the first time in about a month - I checked my measurements... AND I've lost 1.5 inches on my hips (Praise The Lord!) and 1 inch on my waist! I am ecstatic and I wanted to share this with my MFP pals too!!! My husband - bless his heart - says he's noticed the change.

Although, I haven't seen much change in my clothes, but I'm now BFF with my measuring tape, too!!!:

Keep going ya'll... it works!!!

YAY!!!

That's great! Non-scale victories are just as important and that is a fantastic one! Good job! Keep up the amazing work!

Is that "Bless his heart" the southern meaning?

I'm in the midst of a 3-4 week plateau and was beginning to get discouraged until taking my measurements and noticing a decrease :). I'm so relieved, much more encouraged, and hoping that when I come out of this plateau, I'll have more muscle and starting burning even MORE calories.

Good girl!! Well done you - such a good feeling eh :flowerforyou:

You say you haven't seen much change in your clothes, however, I bet the waistbands are not tight - this can only get better now, it's onwards and upwards!!

I praise my husband's assurance there and well, being born and bred in the South... I reckon  we do tend to have our own little colloquialisms!

I always heard it as "Billy can't stay out of jail, but he is a good kid, bless his heart". I take offense when someone uses that term with my name . . .lol
