Calories?

OK I'm pretty close to where I wanted to be weight wise, but now I want to gain muscles. So if I go on my profile, do I change it to gain, maintain??? Not sure what to do. If I put maintain, it changes my calories to over 2000 a day? And if I write lose .5 lbs it says 1900 calories but if I want to lose 2 lbs it says 1200. I'm so confused. What do I put?

You can either go to maintenance and do a recomp, which will be slower, or you can set it to gain a small amount, and then do a cut after a few months. Either way, if you want to gain muscle you don't want to be in a deficit, and you will want to get enough protein and lift heavy.0
