I'm usually low when it comes to my daily fiber needs. What are some foods that are high in fiber? I just started here so you wouldn't be able to see a pattern in my diary yet. Thanks, and feel free to add me...i need more friends!

Avocado is high in fiber plus a great source of fat.

Raspberries, cherries, and blackberries are good choices.

Actually, here's a starter list for you: http://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/in-depth/high-fiber-foods/art-20050948

And if you get to the end of the day and are a bit short, you can always take some Metamucil. 1-2 teaspoons in a bit of water (or, as I prefer, juice) and take it like a shot. Then follow up with a big glass of water.

A sure go to are legumes. Most fruits and veggies aren't bad for fiber, but if you're consistently short (and that's affecting you), then try beans and lentils. I also supplant with some high fiber tortillas and some breads.

Spinach, spinach, spinach! Fresh makes a great salad base and is good on sandwiches or burgers. Frozen is great in soups, omelets, pasta dishes, rice pilaf, all kinds of things.

I love coconut flakes. They have a ratio of 50% as much fiber as carbs. Nutritional yeast flakes have like a 80% ratio. It has taken a while but getting the fiber and not wrecking the carb count is doable I am finding.
