Aarrgh! I lost my mind and posted in the protein bar thread and it JUST WON'T DIE!! Every time I check my notifications it's all protein bars all the time. This'll be going on till at least Christmas, won't it...

    Just turn off all notifications. That's what I do.

    Any threads that I've read or posted to with additional messages are still marked: "New" with the number of new messages posted since the last time I viewed the thread.

    I can then continue reading new posts to a thread or just ignore the thread entirely, if I've become bored or annoyed w/its direction.

    I have notifications for threads I posted in turned off, but turned on for threads I favorite. So all I have to do to turn on and off notifications for any thread is to click the star "on" or "off".
