Type your height and weight and rate of weight loss into MFP goals and it will give you a specific number of calories to eat per day.
Eat whatever you want within those calories.
Measuring/weighing your servings will help you actually stay within your calorie goal and not fall victim to wishful thinking.
None of us can give you a "diet plan" because what works for me will not work for you...that's the beautiful thing about MFP, you eat what works for you!6 -
You don't need a diet plan, you don't need to be concerned with macros when just starting.
Eat your regular foods, measure & log them. That will be an eye opening experience. When you cut calories you may find yourself hungry. Protein, fat & fiber are filling. As you log food you may see ways to tweak your diet. Logging will teach you how to do this.
Plug your stats into My Fitness Pal & choose 1 pound a week. Eat that many calories.
Some examples:
Protein sources: meats, seafood, beans, legumes, dairy, eggs
Fats: nuts, nut butters, avocado, olive oil, full fat dairy, eggs
Fiber: whole veggies & fruits. Whole grains2 -
But how do I read the labels on the packages it has two sections0

At the top of the label it tells you how many calories there are IN A SERVING and then it tells you the size of a serving. Measure it out (preferably weigh it) and then log it in your diary.
It helps to pre-log what you plan to eat to see how it fits together rather than just starting your day and then finding you have no room left at dinner time.
Another tip is to take a good brisk walk to make room for more calories if/when you find that your set amount of calories is not enough.
