Happy Monday everyone! I could use some words of advice, I slightly dislocated my hip on Friday so I have to see a chiropractor this week :( I did some rehab stretches and exercises to help loosen it up which helped a little but its definitely not back to normal yet! I don't want to over work myself doing my normal cardio/strength exercises so I was considering taking a Yoga/Pilates
class tonight (Piloga) at my gym. I read online Yoga is good for this kind of stuff- anybody think its a bad idea??? I just really hate skipping days, going to the gym is one of my favorite parts of my day :( Is pilates/yoga considered a good workout, I normally just stick to my cardio/strength.

Hope I get some good responses- thanks!

I think Yoga would be okay, I would maybe youtube some yoga for hip pain relief. I would worry about the Pilates part though. If you go to the class, take it easy and do not over work yourself. If you feel pain at all, STOP!

Absolutely, but tell your instructor about your injury, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY and remember that yoga is not a competition. Oh, and did I mention listen to your body? If it hurts, it ain't helping.
