Does anyone else eat when they are down and unhappy? When you have those times of the month when all doesnt seem well and all you want to do is eat? How do you stop yourself and be strong?? :/

Would you slash, your vehicle's other 3 tires because 1, got a flat? That's what I think of 1st! Sometimes a ridiculously realistic analogy's all, that's necessary!

This probably isn't the answer you want to hear, but after logging successfully for about a year I've gotten a lot better at recognizing when my feelings are pushing me to eat. I've just started to come off a rough couple months where I let myself give in, and just tonight, for example, I felt like overeating but realized why and reminded myself that it would only make me feel worse and that I wasn't actually hungry.

I think a good way to start having success - or what worked for me anyway - was to figure out maintenance calories and start by logging and hitting that goal. In fact, my goal for almost my whole first year has been maintenance calories. I think it's helped me recognize true hunger. Once I got better at that it got easier to decide whether or not to go for it or not when the hunger was emotional - and yeah, sometimes I give in, like I said before, but it's usually an informed decision now instead of what can feel like a loss of control if that makes any sense.

I realize that not only I'll still feel crappy after I eat, but I'll feel guilty on top... so there's really NO point.

Be aware of anyone, trying to sell you anything; to help you lose weight! 1st it's against, the rules here. 2nd anyone whom breaks these types of rules, anywhere're desperate for money because their products, don't work but they fell for the scam, that they'd make money; investing their money in this type of business. 1st rule of business, is this: Your employer's suppose to pay you, you aren't suppose to pay them!
