Help!

I am mostly new to the whole protein shakes thing. I have a question. I am recently taking the dotfit dairy free protein shake. However, I was told also about a product called "anabolic flood post workout." My question is: can I take both at different times of the day or will it affect my body? Or should I just stick to the protein shake? My goal is to build muscle and tone up.

Right to it: You can take both at different times of day. Anabolic flood is designed specifically for post workout but the whole anabolic window nutrient timing thing it's building on is kind of being shown to be not as awesome as once thought.

It does have recovery nutrients in it but you may or may not be getting that with your other nutrition.

For right now, if you're just beginning and trying to dial in your nutrition, keep it simple with the protein.

If this is your goal, what is your current workout program? Also, the below thread might be of interest.

I agree with @Dano74 . Total nutrition is much more important than timing. If want to use timing, than just have some protein and carbs pre - or post - workout in the 2 hour time frame.
