Under calorie goal due to illness, eat them back?

I spent yesterday laid up with some sort of virus/flu. I only ate roughly half of my 1200ca daily goal.
I feel terrible again today, no appetite, I doubt I'll be eating much today.
Once this passes, should I just carry on as normal or should I try to squeeze those missed calories in somewhere?
Which brings up another question.....is there anyone who tracks calories on a weekly basis vs daily?

I track on a weekly basis. Most of the time when I'm sick I just focus on trying to get plenty of fluids and only eat if I feel up to it. If I was sick for a few days and felt better later in the week I might eat some of the missed calories.

Averaging over a weekly basis is fine. I tend to do that when cutting calories.

If you feel like eating the calories you missed, you can do that. Don't feel like you have to but it certainly won't hurt.

I'd go back to normal, but if you have been ill, a couple of days at maintenance may help your body recover.

I'd just go back to normal and move on.

I would go back to eating normally.
It wouldn't hurt you to eat those missed calories if you want to though.

I'm in a similar situation. Yesterday I was about 700 calories under. Just not hungry with this virus. The day before that I was under 1,000 calories as well.

Today I'm feeling a bit better and I'm planning on trying to get back to normal; however, I'm not going to stress if I'm a bit over today and tomorrow as I've been significantly under my calorie goal for three days now.
