Hi All! New and down 69 pounds

Hi everyone! My name is Pam, I am 47, and on August 4 of 2014 I totally switched my way of eating and my way of living. I have been plugging away every day ever since. I am down 69 pounds as of today with 8.8 to go to reach my first weight goal that I set for myself over 2 years ago. This last little bit is being very stubborn so I decided to join MFP to keep me going. There are so many motivational and inspiring people here. I look forward to being a part of this community. Every morning I get up and tell myself, "Lets get it! Lets go!" so I'll sign off with that. Now I'm off to read more posts. Have an amazing day everyone! :)

Let's get it! Let's go!

It's funny how our bodies fight that last stubborn few pounds! Two years and 70 lbs off is an incredible life changing accomplishment, the rest is the dietary "icing on the cake!"

Hi Pam, totally understand how you feel! I started my weight-loss journey solo in may 2014 and had great success losing 71lb through to August 2015. Then I hit a plateau for six months at 140lb with 16lb to go. In February I got serious on the MFP site tracking my food, being more involved on the site, seeking inspiration. It helped me morph from following an Atkins eating plan to a ketogenic (Low Carb, High Fat) lifestyle and that has resulted in me losing a further 7lb. Not a lot by many peoples standards, but hell it's a downward trend and that's what counts.
We all have stories, we're all doing the best we can, we're here to help ourselves and each other.
You're doing great, and it's awesome that you too are continuing the journey.
Happy for you to friend me if you'd like :-)
