Calorie Calculators

Hey guys

I have a question that just came to me (I'm on my phone at work so can't really spend time looking things up right now), and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any good apps or websites that allow for quick calorie calculations?

For example: when I'm planning my meals for the next day I'll spend a lot of time working with MFP trying to find things that work together, but are there any additional methods you use for quicker calculations that you may or may not add to your food diary?

'Preciate it :)

Can you clarify what you mean by "spend a lot of time working with MFP trying to find things that work together"? Like are you giving yourself 'x amount of calories for lunch' and then trying to plan what foods fit into that calorie goal? Like 100 calories of this and 250 calories of that?

While MFP database is user-generated, meaning there are a lot of wrong entries - I try to match it up the best I can.

I usually just plan my lunch and enter it into MFP. If I find out that it's a bit higher than I want, I eat less of it. It doesn't usually take me long.

Maybe when you have time to fiddle with it, use the recipe builder to come up with a couple "typical days" menus.
If you rotate the same 3-4 basic breakfasts, and the same 3-4 basic lunches, it will get faster to pre-log. I promise. Especially if you have the meals you eat most already grouped together in a recipe.

So you put in your "typical day" recipe, but your lunch salad has salmon instead of chicken so you make that substitution vs. starting from blank slate.

I'll second this suggestion and then go farther to say that once you've created a meal you can use the Quick Tools to Remember This Meal. Name it something (Lunch Salad, for example) and the next time you eat that you can choose it in the My Meals section. The app adds each part of the meal so you can delete the chicken from your salad and add salad if you do that part differently that day.

Calorie king has most accurate info ive found as its not user generated and then i add it to here or compare it to other items on here to make sure its accurate the comment above was a good one for time, if you tend to eat a few aimilar meals weekly
I always plan my meals at least a night before so i dont get stuck eatibg sometging thats more calories than expected, however things dont always go to plan regardless haha.
