Have been today diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. I am a 49 year old female in Sydney Australia. I never thought at this age I would be in such bad shape I always thought I would be a fit machine. I feel now is the time to get serious or I will be a cripple in the near future. I love life and need to embrace it more and not sit on my *kitten* ... tomorrow is a new day and I will succeed.

Lisa: As Winston Churchill said, "Never, never, never, never, never give up!" I have a friend with RA who was bed ridden, couldn't take care of her kids. She read up on the disease, then gave up gluten and sugar and feels so much better-more energy, lost weight, can go for walks with her kids, etc. Not sure if that will work, but it's worth the research. Once you make up your mind that you will do it and not succumb to the ailment is when you will rock it! Good luck. Add me if you like
