Anyone tried this? One just opened up near my house and I was thinking it could be a core/toning/strength workout to try? I am 60 lbs overweight and hike/run already but I keep hearing about planks etc. and how that could really help. Thoughts?

I love it! My bikram yoga studio added inferno Pilates classes, and it is a really fun class. The way they set it up is as follows:
Lay on ground and start off with bent knees, push your tush up. One set is normal press, next set is toe press (for calves), then stay up on toes and pulse. We do 3 sets of these, 20 seconds each rep with 8-10 second rest.
Abs are next (8 sets at 20 seconds each, 8 second rest) They change up different ways to do abs.
Side planks - hold for 1 minute
Regular planks, swimming, modified planks, etc.
    More abs
Get up and do 8 sets of squats (they vary type of squat).....go as hard as you can for 20 seconds, rest for 8
Burpees (8 sets, 20 seconds hard.....rest 8 seconds), mountain climbers, more abs.

So....that is the set up at my place. It's an interval training class using Pilates principles.

I love pilates. Actually taking a class in the morning. Are your classes heated? The ones I've taken don't follow the same format as the previous poster. They've always varied but have included those exercises. My core is definitely stronger because of incorporating pilates.
