    Long exposure. I don't remember the details, so let's say the shutter was open for 30 seconds. I sat in the chair for maybe 10 of them. So the camera saw me, but it also saw the chair and wall behind me; my hands look "more there" than my legs because they reflect more light to the camera.

    Snowshoeing kind of sucks. It forces you to walk with an awkward gait. I like (cross country) skiing a lot more, but this photo is a few years old, and I hadn't re-learned to ski yet back then. Still, snowshoeing is better than walking on snow without snowshoes and falling through ("post holing") every few steps. You're out in a winter wonderland, surrounded by trees and snow, floating on top of a few feet of it, the world is silent and still, it's very peaceful and relaxing. And beautiful.
