I was eating right and working out on my own but once I got my trainer I saw the results I wanted. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone but that was wat got me results.

Not uncommon. Many times I get clients by just roaming the gym, talking to a few regulars, then offering them a free session just to check it out. I by no means "bury them" that workout, but I give them some basic exercises that I know most people don't work on (rear laterals, assisted pullups, plyometrics, etc.) and many times the response is "I THOUGHT I was working out hard on my own."
Not everyone needs a trainer, but a good trainer knows how to identify your weaknesses and help you improve on them along with helping you to enhance your shape.

this has been my experience as well.
  • Yeah and getting a good trainer is important... A qualified trainer is good but mine was hard on me at first and then I didn't even finish the last session cause I had already lost all my goal weight. I was starting to loose too much for my preference so I can agree with that statement that not everyone needs a trainer but it will def. get ur *kitten* moving and seeing results.

The best coaches are sometimes their own undoing - they give you a mantra that you can repeat and relive, and then you don't need to see them as often and lose track of them. I hope they are still out there sharing their wisdom with other lucky clients. I never feel alone working out if I can recall their guidance, and I am so grateful they were there at that moment and persist in memory.
