First Half Marathon is in the books.

Time 2:17:10 from a goal of 2:30

186 out of 245 total finishers;
122 out of 151 male finishers;
7 out of 9 60+ male finishers; and
52.28 Age Graded PLP.


Restarted running 2 years ago after surgery.
First race, 5 K May 15, 2016.
July 4 this year started training for this Half.
AT 61 years of age I can go 13.1 miles ;-)
You probably can too.

    I didn't run my first race until I was in my early 50s. One advantage to starting late is that we're still getting better while other athletes our age are slowing down compared to their primes!

    One of my inspirations is a guy named Ed Whitlock - he ran a 3:30 marathon (something I'll never do) at 82 and set a Canadian record this year going under 50 min for a 10K at 85. That gives me 25 years to shave 4:41 of my personal best...... B)
