Hello everyone i'm really struggling with my weight loss. Somebody said to me to follow this meal plan which is
7.30 am breakfast two weetabix with milk or one toast.
11am snack carrot sticks or fruit
2pm one chappatti with homemade Indian curry with salad.
7-8pm cup of soup.
Do you think this meal plan is good being an Indian or this one below :-
7.30 am one weetabix with milk
11-12pm lunch: tuna/egg/ chicken with salad and boiled vegetables.
5-6 Dinner: one chappatti with homemade Indian curry.
I use these times as they fit around my schedule. But I'm so confused which meal plan to follow and when to have my lunch. I have been trying to loose weight for a very long time but just always confused. Please can somebody guide me into the right direction with my meal plans. Thank you.

Okay, first of all...
Determine the amount of calories you need to eat to reach your desired goal. Got it? Okay. Log a few days (hell, a week, why not?) of your NORMAL diet. Don't change anything, eat just like you normally would.
Okay, now look at what you can cut down on, emulate, replace, or remove from your diet to reach your calorie goal.
Track and eat your favorite foods while losing weight and developing lifelong habits necessary to maintain your weight loss.

Meal plans are rigid & one-size-fits-all.
Do you know how many calories this "plan" is? Do you know how many calories you even need?
In addition to calories there are macros to consider - protein - fat - carbs. Does this give you a decent amount of protein and fat? Then there are micronutrients too. Is this meal plan filling? Can you stay on this plan for many months.
@rainbowbow is correct. YOUR normal foods are going to give you so much more information. You need to learn about your favorite foods. Figure out what needs to be tweaked.....for a life time. I'm fat because my portions are too big. Substituting a diet "plan" for my regular foods doesn't teach me anything.0 -
My cals for the day is 1200 and my dinner is around 450-500cals, lunch around 300 and breakfast around 300 but my problem is I don't stick to my plan I'm always so confused then I end up binge eating. Tried ww too but didn't work. I'm very low will powered. That's why I posted. Any advise would be helpful to weightloss and meal timing and meal plans. Thx0

It sounds as if you might be looking for a big change in your diet - nothing wrong with that.
Indian foods can be very fatty and have a lot of refined carbohydrate. But vegetable or chicken curries served with brown rice (25g dry weight per portion) are a good bet. Chapattis made from wholemeal flour would be good, as long as they aren't made with fat.(50g cooked weight should be about 100cals)
Use minimal ghee or oil (1tsp) to start the frying and if anything burns add a little water not more fat.
You can add loads of veg, leaves, salads, herbs and spices without adding too many calories.
Fresh fruit (any) and or yogurt for desert.
Soups for supper are filling and low in calories and you can make them as spicy as you like. Try lentil or other pulses which are delicious high protein and low calorie.
Try milkshakes, smoothies or porridge for breakfast - also very satisfying and nutritious.
But whatever meal plan you go for you MUST track (and limit) the calories - otherwise you won't lose weight.
In addition get active. Walking is the cheapest, easiest and most delightful of exercises - but do whatever you like and can commit to doing for life.
Good luck.1 -
