Snacks? Travel/non-perishable

I can never think of good snacks to eat while I'm out and about. I need stuff that goes good with fruit juice, since I can't take milk with me (no cooler pack)
So far, I have:
pretzels & peanut butter
peanut butter & jelly sandwich
dried fruit
muffin
granola bars
Nothing with chocolate, cuz that's yucky with fruit juice. Also, I don't do nuts because my body doesn't process them.

Water doesn't have any calories. The juice I drink has 150 calories, which helps more easily reach my 300+ goal for every time I eat.
The juice is in individual bottles, which don't need refridgeration until opened...which is why I do that instead of milk when I'm out of the house for more than 2 hours.0 -
Pita bread/chips plus cheese
String cheese or those individually wrapped cheeses keep ok in room temp.
Cereal
Those single-serving things of tunafish and crackers
Jerky
Crackers/chips
Dried spiced chickpeas/edamame (as a nut alternative)
Peanut butter seems to be OK even though you said no nuts, so how about an extra container of PB with some crackers or to spread on the muffins and fruit? Or different kinds of PB sandwiches: PB/honey, PB/banana, PB and... bacon .... lol I don't eat pb sandwiches but I'm sure you could get creative and get more calories on the sandwich other than jelly/jam with different fillings.
I'm listing salty foods except the cereal, but I don't think they would be terrible with a sweet drink.0 -
I have to be careful about salt, as I have heart failure.
Nuts just don't seem to digest, and they probly don't do any good if they're just going straight through me. But nut butters are totally fine
Oh, and Nutella!
And hummus!
There's non-perishable pudding cups, but they always taste weird...is it just me?0 -
Celery or apple with peanut butter. Corn thins with laughing cow cheese. Wasabi peas.
I know you said no cooler pack, but it's not a huge inconvenience to carry one. I take a small one with me most days when I'm out and about and just leave it in my car. It makes snack choices easier (yogurt, boiled eggs, hummus, etc). Might just be me, but I don't want to eat hummus at room temperature. Plus, if I end up going out to lunch I'm able to take leftovers home even if I have errands and don't get home right away.1 -
Jerky... my go to! Quest bars or any other high fibre protein bar0
