On my way

After two kids, I never expected my body to go back to the way it was before. What I didn't expect was to step on the scales at 8 months postpartum and find myself 10lbs heavier than I was just before giving birth.
It scared me. I didn't want to be like my mother, with no energy to play with her kids, depression creeping in, needing 3 naps a day... But I was heading that way. I was so depressed about my body, I had no energy to play with my 3 year old and couldn't make it through a day without napping with my baby.
I knew something had to change. Over the course of the winter, I started watching what I ate. I started running. I thought I was doing everything right, but somehow wasn't getting the results I wanted. 6 months later and I had only shed 10lbs.
I became disheartened and stopped caring. What was I doing wrong? I did everything the books said. I put the 10lbs back on. I had no mojo. My turning point finally came 3 months ago when I didn't even have enough air to chase my daughter across the yard in a game of tag. She deserved better. I could do better. I had to.
I took control. I took up an eating program, an exercise program, and am approaching my pre pregnancy weight. I can run a 5k. I can do weights. By the end of the winter, I will have abs.

Loosing weight is scary. It can be completely disheartening, lonely, and can run your emotions dry. You are enough. You can do it.

If anyone out there is struggling as I did, I would love to help. Support is key. Feel free to message me.

I know its so hard. I've struggled for years 3 kids and ya sometimes life makes you feel not worthy. but you are do it for you. I could never get below a certain point and id give up. I wont this time. if the scale doesn't drop just stay off of it for a while but stay focused. when you get back on it will definitely be for the better!!
