Body Composition Analysis

For those who have had body composition analysis done, what time frame do you recommend between scans. I went to the dietician today for a scan only and when I asked him how often he said 2-4 weeks. More than 4 weeks was too long. I struggle to believe that every 2 weeks is going to give me anything useful, I wouldnt expect much of a change in that time frame even if I completely overhauled my diet!

I had planned on about every 3 months given its $50 for a scan maybe every 2 months. Enough to try keep me focused but am not really willing to spend that much on frequent basis.

Sounds like the dietician might be making money every time you get a scan. Every two weeks sounds excessive. Even every four weeks sounds more often than necessary.

It is up to you - don't let the dietitian tell you when to go. I think every 3 months sounds reasonable. I personally test my bf% (calipers) once a month. I would usually do it less frequently but I am increasing my calories to ascertain what my maintenance is

When I had my dexa done, the tech said to wait at least 3 months, preferably longer, between scans.
