Hi, Im Josh. I'm 5'7" and fluctuated between 195 and 205 lbs a couple months ago. When I was 17, I lost 50 lbs in one summer after I finally decided I didnt wanna be fat anymore, especially for my senior year in high school.
In college, I gained some back and weighed between 155 and 170 lbs. After college I kept gaining and became more sedintary. I realized that reaching middle age is bad enough, let alone being mildley obese. So I figured it was time for a change.
I lost about 15 lbs since July, 10 of which was lost in the past month while using this app. Im think Im starting to "plateau" right now at around 180 lbs. Its getting harder, so I thought Id join the community here for extra support and help.
Im exercising with about 45 min of cardio and 15 min of strength per day, which has been a big adjustment. Normally I wouldnt worry too much about the strength but Ive never been toned, even at the lowest points in my weight history. Im also being prescribed testosterone right now, so I figured I might as well take advantage of any anabolic effects, however slight they might be. At thr very least, the steroids may help with muscle repair and metabolism.
Anyway, thats my deal. I was tired of not turning womens' heads as much as I used to, so thats my big shallow motivation. I do know that I need to be in better shape, though, especially in my late 30s here.
Cheers!
