Logging Question for Egg Washes and Breadcrumbs
How does one log an egg wash/bread crumb mixture when coating chicken, etc. in a recipe? I know it adds some calories and fat, but it is nowhere near the entire egg or cup of bread crumbs. I've been logging the whole for argument's sake. Thoughts?

Weigh your egg wash before starting. Weigh your egg wash after you're done. That way you know how much egg you actually used. Same thing with bread crumbs.2

It doesn't really work though as you end up having some egg wash in your crumbs.
Honestly OP... it's one of those things I just don't bother with. For the 1 time a month that I actually bread stuff, I just weigh my cooked meat, subtract a couple grams, log that, then log 1/4th of an egg and 1 tbsp of bread crumbs or something.1
