Need to lose 2 inches by Aug 13

Hello! This is my first post
My dress fitting for my wedding is Aug 13th (wedding date is Sept 14) and I need to lose 2 inches by Aug 13, specifically in the hips/thighs area. It fits perfect everywhere else (it'll be fine if I lose weight all over). I know you can't target specific areas, so I am just wondering some ideas/foods to eat and exercises I should do. I have been on MyFitnessPal for a week now and I consume on average 1200 calories/day and exercise (cardio, actually) for 60 mins/day. I use the elliptical and I do use resistance training and different workouts/speeds. I am currently 140 lbs, 24 years old, and need to lose 2 inches (so I think I need to be 130 lbs.) I will make my food diary public so you can view it. So basically: what's the fastest way to lose 2 inches in 30 days? Sorry for rambling!

1. you can't spot lose. Sorry, doesn't work that way.
2. Setting a restrictive diet is only going to effectively serve to lose water weight.
At this point, why not just start the right way. Count your intake, work out, and lose as it's going to happen... and it will... but you're setting yourself up for disappointment with "I need to lose X inches from this specific spot in less than a month!" requirements.0 -

Good luck! My wedding is Sept 14 too! My final fitting is Aug 31!!! I am doing as much cardio as I can get in(%days a week) and I target my sides and abs 2 days a week and do other various areas 1 a week. Cardio and weights is a killer combo! Good luck with everything!0

I would seriously try running. I think that helps slim down all over the fastest. I just started running a couple of weeks ago, and I slimmed down significantly in a week--I eat pretty clean though. Try a mile without stopping to get started0

I found that when I did 30 Day Shred (plus extra cardio) I basically saw my love handles, booty & legs shrink pretty quickly.0
