Not losing weight despite exercise, clothes much more loose

I've been working out and eating less for about 16 weeks very consistently. Haven't eaten fast food for about 3 months and I NEVER eat cookies or cake anymore. I work out at least 3 days a week - speed walking, jogging, cardio kickboxing class, weight machines, Zumba class, T25 DVD at home, toning exercises like planks, kettlebell workouts, etc. My clothes are WAY more loose and everyone keeps commenting on how much weight I've lost, but in all honesty I've only lost about 8 pounds in all this time. I look in the mirror and look SO much different, more tight and toned, etc. I'm over 40 and had a baby 9 months ago, so maybe my metabolism is just messed up. What I don't understand is how I've lost about 2 pants sizes and look so much smaller, but I've only lost 8 pounds? This doesn't make sense to me. Just today two people at work told me I've lost so much weight.

You could be building muscle. It weighs more. Also, 8 pounds is quite a bit and should definitely be noticeable. Great job! Keep up the great work!

Here is a visual!. If you haven't done much in the way of exercise and fitness before this then you are definitely building muscle and losing fat. Don't focus on the scale, focus on how you feel(and loose clothing) cpxlda4c10cq.jpg
