Heel pain during calf extension?

I think I must have done something to my right ankle. It's difficult to point my toes towards me even with no weight on it. My heel feels super tight, there's some pain and it tingles when I use the calf extension machine and I can barley do 10 pounds on it, whereas I used to be able to do 50 pounds and my left ankle is completely fine. Does this sound like a familiar situation to anyone? Is there another way I can work my calves if I can do this?

I probably wouldn't lift with it much at this point. Sounds like there may be some nerve damage there. I would probably just do therapeutic movements, massage and pressure points, along with a lot of rest until it recovers. While standing, pick your foot up off the ground and take your ankle through a range of motion by moving your foot around to try and pinpoint where the pain is coming from. Then, you can focus on that area. Take it through that range of motion without aggravating it too much to increase circulation to the area, so it recovers quicker.1
