Keeping up with the Calories, Peanuts Edition

Hey everyone,
Tonight for a snack I decided to change things up & have some dry roasted unsalted peanuts. However, I'm a little confused as to what 'pieces' are considered when it comes to peanuts. Are they talking about halves or whole peanuts when they say 'serving size 40 pieces'. Thanks ahead of time for your responses! :-)

Oh, and it's a good idea to weigh everything rather than going with a vague measurement like "pieces".1 -
Weigh the edible portions on a scale in grams.2

Weighing is always the safest measurement.1

Nuts are calorie dense and VERY easy to overeat. Definitely weigh.
