Wow am I sore

I have been exercising for about 2 weeks and I took a rest day and man oh man am I sore as hell. Maybe it's the cold weather. Anyone else feeling sore?

    I've just started working out again and it seems like sore is my default setting. I've heard that massage and taking warm baths(preferably with Epsom salts) helps, but so far the only thing I've found that alleviates the soreness for me is doing some stretches and/or walking it out.
  • That's how you know you're working hard. The soreness should start to taper off as you get used to exercising more. You could always stretch or try foam-rolling. Personally, after rolling my IT bands, I'd rather be sore. haha

    If today was your 1st rest day in 2 weeks, you might be overdoing it a bit. Muscles only grow when they repair themselves, so resting is an integral part of any exercise regimine.
