Spin class app on an exercise bike?

I'm traveling this week, and I would like to use my "Cycle Cast" spin class app at the hotel gym, but they don't have bikes that you use in spin classes, with the weighted flywheel (sorry if that's the incorrect lingo, I'm new to this). They have typical exercise bikes. Would using an exercise bike work, if I don't have other options, or would I be better off doing something else while traveling and waiting to use my spin app when I'm back in my home gym? Thanks.

As long as you can adjust the resistance then a non Spinning bike should work as a substitute. I've done sufferfest video's on standard gym bikes.1

The biggest singe difference between spinning bikes and most "standard" stationary bikes is that you can't coast on a spinning bike (and that 99% of exercise bikes have atrocious saddles). You should be able to keep you rides up at the hotel (some bikes will have built in programs that may also be worth trying)1
