New vegetarian weight loss

I have just turned vegetarian (still eating dairy and eggs but not meat or fish). I want to lose weight and I'm just wondering if anyone has any top tips? Obviously vegetables are healthy but previously I've relied on meats for protein to keep me full. I'm also a bit concerned about relying a bit too much on cheese which I love! I'm 175cm and weigh 83kg so looking to lose 8-10kg to get me back to normal bmi range

Consume fewer calories than you burn -- that's how anyone, including vegetarians, loses weight.
If you have found in the past that protein helps you feel full, experiment with all the wonderful plant-based protein sources you may not have used as much before. Beans, tofu, tempeh, and seitan are some examples.1 -
I actually found that once I went vegetarian it got easier because I could get fuller on less calories. Just research meat free protein sauces and you'll be fine. As long as you watch your saturated fat intake, there is nothing wrong with having cheese either!0
