Intermittent fasting friends

Any other intermittent fasters here? I've decided to give it a try this week. I'm down 44 lbs so far this year, but my weight has slowed down dramatically. Some weeks it doesn't move at all. I still have about 20 lbs to lose, so thought I'd give this a try. Gonna mix things up a bit and try something new!
I'm starting out with the 16/8 (16 hours fasting/8 hours eating). It's only day 2, and so far I seem to be doing ok with it. I'm a big breakfast person. I normally eat right after I get up, so this is definitely a change for me. I end my fast at 11 a.m. and eat until 7 p.m. So far, I'm surviving. We'll see how the rest of the week goes, lol.
I would love to have more IF friends, so feel free to add me if you'd like!

I'm doing this now too. Also the 16/8, but I skip breakfast. My window can go from either 1-9pm or 2-10pm. I find that if I eat breakfast, I'm hungry all day long. So I'm giving this a try. I do have my coffee in the morning though.1

For me, it's just a different tool to lose weight. I began to realize that if I ate breakfast, I was so hungry all day long. Nothing would control how hungry I felt. I also realized that if I put off eating until the afternoon, I wasn't hungry like that, and I had better control over my caloric intake. 16/8 just refers to the number of hours you fast, and the number of hours in which you can eat. I like it so far.

Some people like it because it helps them to stay within their calories for the day. It also helps your body to enter into a fat burning mode. I've been getting my cardio in first thing in the morning while I'm in fasting mode, to burn stored fat.
The link below explains it pretty well...
