So... I'm looking for tips, suggestions, advice and whatnot from fellow Hospitality folks. I know you're out there!
I'm a Sommelier (so if you look at my diary and see crazy alcohol ... that's why!) My biggest question is setting my activity level. As most of you know, days on are often 12 to 16 hours with spurts of intense activity. But days off ... honestly sometimes the most walking I do is from the bed to the couch. Ha!
I wear a fitbit daily and have my activity level set to sedentary to account for "desk days" and days off where I am too exhausted to move. I feel like the fitbit will add in the activity I'm actually doing and give me more accurate results. Am I correct in thinking this way? Or am I cheating myself?
Also what the heck do y'all eat on doubles and during the hols? I find it's nearly impossible to take the time to meal prep, shop, cook, etc working 6 day/16 hour a day shifts ... I'm looking for easy ideas that can quickly be scarfed in the service station as the busy season is already upon the country club where I work (Yay wedding season!!)! Obvs food from work is out of the question cause y'all know sauté station has a love affair with oil and butter haha!
Weight loss is hard... harder when you're whole life is food and wine! I've not seen a thread here for hospitality industry workers... if there is one, point me in the right direction!
Cheers, lovelies!
