Supplements

Anyone with a healthy diet still taking supplements? I am training hard, eating at a deficit, losing weight. I got into the habit awhile ago of taking a multivitamin, fish oil, and a probiotic supplement, but now I'm needing to replenish my supply if I'm to keep it up. Is it unnecessary, harmful, or helpful?

I believe that no matter how clean and healthy we eat, we still can't get all we need from our food these days with the number of things that tax us. I am rigid about my supplementation. Prob's, Omega3's, Whole food multi, and a few other's specific to my needs.

I used to take a multivitamin but got blood works done and asked my Dr if I should continue taking it. He said I had no deficiencies so I stopped.

I eat very "clean"....whole foods, organic, etc. Tons of vegetables. I take the following: Boku Super Protein, Boku Super Greens, Bulletproof Brain Octane, and at my night time stack is Melatonin, Zinc and Mag.

Depending on what brands you are taking and what your individual needs are....it is highly likely the ones you listed are probably a waste of money.

I take a multivitamin because I do not eat nearly enough fruits and vegetables and tend to eat the same foods frequently. I also take Vit. D (doctor's orders for low vit. d levels), omega-3 (dr. suggested for eczema), calcium-magnesium (dr. suggested as I am not a milk drinker), and a few others.
