When your pasta craving kicks in, this is a healthier take on the traditional oily pesto !
This is a great add on to your prep week because it's so easy and quick to make.

I add a serving of this pasta for only 3 days of my prep meals and my family eats the rest !

Use any whole wheat pasta for this recipe

Pistachios are optional.

Servings: 8-9
Serving size: 1 cup

Per Serving:

Protein: 15 grams
Carbs: 42 grams
Fat: 6 grams
These amounts can change depending on:
protein used (beef, chicken, turkey, fish)
cheese brand
and pasta brand
I bought all my ingredients at Sprouts but you can find all these at any grocery !

Ingredients:
  • 16 oz Wholewheat Organic No 146 Fusilli (any wholewheat pasta is great)
  • 1lb Ground Lean Turkey

    For The Sauce:
  • 2 Garlic Clove
  • 5.3oz Plain Non-Fat Greek Yogurt (1 small container)
  • 1.5oz Shredded Parmesan Romano cheese
  • 8oz Raw Broccoli Crowns
  • 6g Fresh Basil Leaves (about 1 cup lightly packed)
  • 1.5oz Raw Shelled Pistachios (optional)

Cooking Instructions:
  • Bring 4 quarts of salted water to a rapid boil
  • Add broccoli and 2 cloves of garlic, cook broccoli until tender and bright green
  • REMOVE BROCCOLI AND GARLIC BUT DO NOT DRAIN WATER
  • Bring water back to a rapid boil and add pasta
  • Stir pasta occasionally and cook to desired doneness

    While pasta is cooking:
    • Add all sauce ingredients to your food processor, blender, or nutribullet and blend until smooth !
    • cooked broccoli, garlic, greek yogurt, cheese, basil, (pistachios)
    • SALT AND PEPPER TO TASTE !!
    • Cook your protein ! (beef, chicken, turkey lightly salted)
Remember to taste as you go, you don't want to over salt your meal !

    When pasta is cooked:
    • Drain and add pasta back into pot
    • Mix in cooked protein and sauce
Pair this with your choice of veggies or add extra protein on the side like some chicken breast
    ENJOY !!
