If you add creamer or sweetener, definitely log those. Otherwise, I log my coffee because I want to keep track of caffeine.0
-
Yup, definitely. There are lots of "coffee and milk/sugar/flavour" foods already set up so you don't have to log your additions to the coffee/tea separately.0
-
I only log coffee because it lists potassium. I drink tea with milk all morning, so i log the tea and milk under breakfast.0
-
As others have said, if you add anything such as sugar, milk, or creamer, you should log it.
Personally, I don't log my coffee or tea because if I add anything at all, its splenda or stevia.0 -
My tea with artificial sweetener is calorie free so no I don't include it, same with diet coke and water.1
-
The coffee or tea I do not log (cause no calories) but the 70 calories worth of creamer or honey I do log.1
-
I log it because plain black coffee is 2 calories per cup (8oz). I log everything that goes in my mouth.0
-
No because I drink unsweetened tea with no milk.0
-
I don't bother, because I drink it black. Where I'm at right now, 5-10 extra calories a day isn't gonna break my diet.1
-
I log the half and half because it's 100 calories for me. I don't log the sweetner.0

Entries like this are not very good ones to use. These database entries were created by other users, and you have no idea how much milk/sugar/creamer/half & half was added to the coffee. Your best bet is to always add your coffee additions separately and measure how much you put in using measuring spoons and/or a food scale.1 -
I log the cream I use. Personally, I don't worry about the small stuff.0
-
Coffee yes, because I drink it with half and half. Tea no, because I drink it iced and unsweetened.0
-
Yes, and I drink both black.0
-
Black coffee, no cals, no log0
-
Nope as I have my coffee black.0
-
Yes, I log it. Even though it's only 2 calories, I like to log it for the potassium.
Christine, tea has a small amount of potassium too.0 -
Yes. It's right there in Recent and takes a fraction of a second to add it.0

Oh I didn't know that, thanks
The only reason I log my 0 calorie tea, is because i people kept asking if i have a 550ml glass of milk for breakfast, so i just started logging tea to make it clearer..0 -
Nope, not reason to. I take it black and there's not enough calories to bother with.
I also don't log my tea for the same reason...it's just not worth the effort.

Yes I do.
Not for the coffee itself but for the small amount of skim milk I put in it which adds 20 calories per cup
Times 3 or 4 per day.
I don't have sugar or sweetener.0 -

Tea also has the same 2 calories that coffee does!0 -
Nope because I drink them black.0

Important point. In general, never use someone else's homemade recipe/entry because you have no idea if what they added is the same as yours. (And I don't see how logging whatever you add wouldn't be just as easy.)
Personally, I don't log coffee or tea since I drink it black and about the same amount every day and if I were cutting calories it certainly would not be what I cut. So no reason to -- if I'm eating 1630 instead of 1600 daily it wouldn't affect my response (if not losing/maintaining/whatever the goal, cut calories or increase activity).
I do log equally low cal vegetables, but that's because I don't eat the exact same veg every day, I want to be in the habit (well, when logging) of logging everything and it would probably take more time to be selective about what ingredients I log, and -- most significant -- I like to have a record of what I actually eat so I can decide if I need to change my diet, get more diversity in the veg I eat, whatever.0
